Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are your courses accredited?

A. All courses offered by education-works, inc. are accredited by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC).   IDCEC is comprised of a number of design organizations:  ASID, IDC, IDEC, IFMA and IIDA This council meets semi-annually to discuss   policies, processes, criteria and guidelines for continuing education courses based on the International Association for Continuing Education and Training.  education-works, inc. is also an AIA/CES registered provider.

Q. Is your course accepted/approved by my organization for continuing education credits?

A. If your organization is a member of the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), then these courses qualify and are accepted.   Members of the Council are:  ASID, IDC, IDEC, IFMA and IIDA .

Q. Are your courses accepted by my state as fulfillment toward the continuing education required for registration renewal?

A. Each state has differing requirements, and it would be prudent to check the requirements in your respected jurisdiction.  However, many states accept those courses accredited by IDCEC.  The State of Florida is among those states.

Q. Are the computer/Internet courses "hands on" courses?

A. No, these courses are heavily weighted demonstration courses with participants receiving extensive handouts regarding the instructional material.

Q. Do I have to be "computer literate" to take the Internet course?

A. Not necessarily.  Many people have participated in this course as they were just starting out the process of learning about or acquiring computers.
